I contacted Ron from Santa Clara about a Mazda Miata that they had listed. Ron was friendly on the phone and asked me to come over to Colma. When we were there, the Miata was inside the showroom - their crown jewel, and Ron had to wriggle it past a huge BMW into the parking lot :-) Then, both I and my wife test drove the car. Ron was laid back and let us just enjoy the car. Back in the dealership, there wasn't much that he would come down on price. He showed me their invoice price in the system and said they couldn't sell below that. But that was the response we had had in other dealerships too, maybe because there wasn't much inventory for the particular model we wanted. Unlike them though, Hyundai Serramonte also included a free 90-day power train warranty, 3-day return and 7-day exchange, and they had free touchup work done for some fine scratches on the car by a person who lived close to us. I appreciate the transparent low-pressure friendly approach by the sales team here.
